In our 4s classroom the teacher-created curriculum is theme based and includes, among many other things, a variety of pre-reading, math, and STEAM related concept activities. Children participate in music and movement fun, arts and crafts, science experiments and a variety of other hands-on learning experiences. All aspects of a child’s development, social, physical, intellectual, creative, and emotional, are included in the 4's targeted learning goals throughout the school year.
We believe that children learn through play and encourage them to try new experiences and complete tasks at a relaxed pace, thus fostering a positive attitude toward school and learning. Children learn routines, follow rules, and practice problem solving with one another. Kindness and empathy are modeled and encouraged throughout the day. |
