Mrs. Alissa Zorn
PreK & STEAM Teacher
Mrs. Zorn graduated from La Roche College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design. She worked as a graphic designer for three years before going back to school to become certified to teach art. She got her collegiate professional license to teach PreK-12 Art from Virginia Wesleyan College in 2006. She taught Elementary Art at Chesterfield Academy in Norfolk, Virginia for five years. During that time, she also taught summer art programs for Norfolk Public Schools and the Chrysler Museum of Art.
In 2012, Alissa moved to Rock Hill, South Carolina and continued teaching as a private art tutor for homeschooling families. She also was the Director of Education for the Rock Hill Dream Center, a volunteer-based, non-profit, Christian tutoring program for at-risk kids.
In 2014, Mrs. Zorn moved to Greensburg and stayed at home to focus on her family. Both of her children attended First Presbyterian Church’s Preschool program and she started substituting there when her daughter was in the 4’s class. She was excited to join the preschool officially as a teacher in 2019 and to help create and launch the STEAM program.
