The Minister of Music Search Committee has concluded its work with Session endorsing the committee's recommendation at its December meeting. The committee's selection - Samuel Gray - will join the staff at First Presbyterian Church June 1 at the conclusion of his PhD program. Until that time, our interim music staff will remain in place with Hazel Braun as organist/accompanist, Karen Cole directing the Kirk Ringers and FPC Winds, Lee Matchett, our resident instrumental arranger in charge of the brass and Sarah Esslinger leading the adult and youth choirs. All have graciously agreed to continue in their roles and assist in the transition. You will learn more about Sam in the soon to be published annual report and at the January congregational meeting. The committee looks forward to hosting a reception in the coming months to introduce Sam to the congregation and various ensembles in anticipation of his ministry among us.
